The Boston Celtics will welcome back forward Kelly Olynyk, separated shoulder on Feb. 10, to the lineup on Tuesday. Olynyk has missed the last 11 games.
"That’s what we’re striving for," Olynyk told ESPNBoston.com on Sunday. "It’ll still be a game-time kind of thing. That’s what we’re looking at and trying to do."
While Olynyk is returning, Boston has lost forward Jae Crowder for a couple of weeks due to his high left ankle sprain. Crowder is averaging 14.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists.
"(Losing Crowder is) definitely tough," rookie R.J. Hunter told ESPNBoston.com.
Finally, Evan Turner will hit the free agent market on July 1 and president of basketball operations Danny Ainge has every intention of re-signing the swingman.
“As you know I’m a fan of Evan and I think he’s had a really good year,” Ainge told The Boston Globe. “I think he’s had a good two years [with the Celtics]. He won a lot of games for us. Down the stretch of games, he’s a good guy to have on your team, he’s a versatile player. He plays multiple positions.”
